RD Moline

Precious Jumeau Bebe. Marked: Depose Tete Jumeau, Bte SGDG. Pierced ears.

This doll, marked RD was made by Rabery and Delphieu. This company made dolls over a long period of time, probably from 1856-1925. They joined the SFBJ in 1899. Roullet and Decamps also used the RD mark, but they were mostly mechanicals.

Her body is made from composition and is treated in paverpol.

Her pantaloons are made in white cotton batiste and embroidered on front leg panels. She wears black boots that were handmade with her outfit, and black crocheted socks.

Her chemise is in cotton flannel embroidered on the front. Her petticoat is three quarter length in white batiste.

Her outfit is in brown Dupont silk with cotton coffee coloured lace.The front panel has flower button on the front the style is three quarter length French the skirt is pleated. It is finished off with a belt and bow adorned with a pretty brass coloured button.

Her hat matches her frock covering her strawberry blond mohair wig colour matching her eyebrows. Eyes are brown, French straight lashes outlined with black. Red eye dots, nose dots and French lips blushed gently. They usually look stern and sincere. Very charming little doll for your collection.
