Jumeau Lacie

Incised Depose Jumea thought to be made when Jumeau first started making his own porcelain heads.These fine Incised Jumeaus were made by the father Pierre Francoise Jumeau, before Emile took over. They are dated around 1875-76.

Her Body is composition treated with Paverpol strong medium of today to protect the surface from deteriorating in all types of extreme weather.

Pantaloons are opened at the front and buttoned up with a pearl. It is made in white Batiste embroidered on the knees.

Her Chemise in cotton flannel embroidered at neck, and edged in crocheted silk looking like lace. Her petticoat is in white cotton batiste edged with cotton fine lace and embroidered at the neck. It is three quarter length edged with lace. It is buttoned up at the back easy to take off and wash, as all her clothing is.

Her shoes are black French shoes with black crocheted socks to match.

Her hair is brown Mohair set in ringlet curls. Matching her dark French eyebrows. French black straight lashes, red dots at corner of eyes, nose dots and French lips with soft blush.

Her hat is black Dupont silk wired and shirred to match her dress with is very ornate. Her dress is Black Dupont silk with cotton netting overlay at sides and over the skirt. Gold pearls are sewn around the neckline and around the the bow on the belt looking like a buckle effect. Antique gold dots are sewn all around as if they were pearls. And all edges, neck, sleeve and skirt is sewn with lace. The sleeve has a casing which is pulled in with black fine ribbon to hold the sleeve up. No elastic. The dress is lined. All authentic sewing, with French seams. She is a very pretty doll for your collection.
